Re: bigger is better

Sparty, have you tried in the general stuff for sale parts of the classifieds in the GR Press? I've seen rims and tires in there before. Also the AutoRV trader and the AutoTrader often have stuff like that in there as well. The only 4x4 store in GR is Cascade 4 Wheel Drive over by Showcase Cinemas on 28th street, but he likes to charge for the privaledge of doing business with him. Pretty much other than that there's only the tire dealers. They usually think their stuff is made of gold and don't know enough about it to even know what backspacing is.

Re: bigger is better

AJM i know a guy who works at belle tire on Alpine Av in walker (near star theather) who said he will sell me 4 15x10's with caps and all the nuts for $450.00. he said that they are some good polished wheels that look identical to some eagle wheels. i am going to see then next week. i told him if i like them that i would buy one every two weeks over winter and do the tires the same way....to ease the pain. when i see them i will let you know exactly what they are and see if you agree with the charge. thanks

Re: bigger is better

Well, I don't know what kind they are, but if they're polished aluminum 15x10's that's not a bad price at all. I got my American Racing Baja 16x8's for $100 a peice about 3 years ago. As long as it's one of the big name companies it should be a good deal. Make sure it's not some "made in Lower Volta" or something REALLLLLLLY cheap knock offs or anything.
