I was just reading jpvm's christmas list. It reminded me of a Master Plan i cooked up a while back for supercharging and upgrading to TPI fuel injection, my 87 pathfinder with junkyard parts and a paxton (centrifugal) blower. Pretty pie in the sky for me right now, but i have no doubt it would work. The Master Plan requires parts from two cars: 1st gen 300zx turbo, and 87-88 V6 200SX. from the 300ZXT, get the complete fuel injection system and maybe the low-compression pistons. From the 200SX get the upper and lower intake manifolds. These, unlike the Z intake, will fit without hacking the firewall and flow better because they dont have to fit under a Z's hood. the Throttle body outlet is perpendicular to vehicle centerline facing the drivers side. Add a gentle 90 deg elbow to a Paxton mounted where the A/C is and the plumbing is nice and simple. The turbo ECU has the fuel maps to handle up to around 8 psi, good for about 220hp on a ZXT (accrording to the ZX guys). I have a picture of a Turboed pathfinder using a zxt motor and custom plumbing. ill try to dig it up for you guys... the engine bay is a joke its so crowded. OH something else, ditch the ZXT throttle body and use a 60mm unit from a 89-90 240sx, its supposed to help throttle response. Biggest problem i see is finding a V6 200SX, they were only made for two years, so theyre kinda rare.

Ben, your answers to your prayers are here... exactly what I am doing with my 4 cyl equipped Hardbody....(I considered a Supercharger, but they are relatively heavy on a 4 cyl.)..

Way back when I was working in a 4x4 shop back home a guy came in one day to have work done on his nissan pickup, he had the V-6 and it had a supercharger on it, the 2nd time I saw the truck he had pulled the throttle body and was running a carb (550?) on a home made adapter and an accel coil, one of our mechanics drove it and said it snapped his head back when he got on it! And this truck had 35" goodyear MT's on it too!! The bad thing was he had all body lift I think it had a 6" BODY LIFT!! I believe JIM WOLF in CAlifornia used to sell a supercharger for the nissan V-6's but he wasn't selling them anymore when I inquired about it (years ago)

Wow, that comment Tony has watered my mouth hahahaahah. The guy who's ibnstlaling my setup finished before me a twin turbo 4 Runner...he said (see to believe) that that V6 had 250 Hp, I can see that Hardobdy you tell us about. If my setup works I might be looking to put a twin turbo setup gfor my Pathfinder too, the proble is the lack of space of that engine bay....

Wade, on Saturday night I will challenge all those Suz Swift GTis haahahahahah.....

Never knew Jim Wolf Tech. used to do superchargers! Know stillen has one for the 3.3 V6. I know this has come up before, but I wonder what it would take to put the 3.3 intake on one of our motors, and install the 'charger for our engines? Anyone have any ideas on that? I havent really looked at the 3.3 much (could always open the hood of the gf's X and poke around, but she would just ask me what Im doing to her car, no matter what my explanation
Im looking forward to a (trying to) test-drive of a new supercharged Frontier sometime in the near future, just to see what it would do...

I have some insight into a couple of your questions Wade.

First off, if you are just talking about the filter when you say intake, then it should be a direct fit. They are generally just a tube with a K&N conical type filter located at the end (usually with a velocity stack-type mount).

Second, the supercharger systems from Stillen have been VERY problematic. In fact, they have you sign a release if you buy one and there are NO returns. The problems have been fitament as well as reliabilty issues. I would avoid them until they improve the design. Having dealt with Stillen in the past, this is VERY unusual from them as their stuff is usually top quality (and priced accordingly).

Meant the intake manifold itself(which the 'charger would bolt onto..unless Im saying someting completely stupid??..If I am..please tell me! :) )..should have been more specific. As long as it bolts up to the manifold itself, fabricating the actual air intake wouldnt be any problem at all. If you have a 3.3 intake manifold, the 3.3 intake and throttle body would probaly have to be used. I have only heard about/read the stillen webpage about their supercharger systems. I know their stuff is top-notch, its rather surprising to me also that they would have a release form for something that costs that much, and has their name on it!
Sorry for the stupid sounding post...correct me if Im wrong please folks! Hate sounding like a complete :)
