nice to be new

finished my front end rebuild yesterday and may I say it is nice to be able to let go of the steering wheel without the fear of death coming over you. I replace all tie rod ends, ball joint, centerlink, cv shafts, idler arm and in the proccess junked the Nissan Autos and replace them with warn premiums. To fininsh the project I put on new tires. 31x10.50 in a Kumho Venture MT. They look and perform like a BFG MT and at $110 a tire they can't be beat.

Re: nice to be new

So what did all the parts run you? Not including the tires and labor, of course.

Re: nice to be new

The parts ran about $1200 I think, but I didn't pay that much attention to the price, because my work pays for repairs. The tires are load rated C and you can find further information at www.kumhousa.com I got out of a big time stuck with these tires on friday and I am very happy so far.

Re: nice to be new

Yes it is very nice. They gave me the choice to either get paid by the mile or they would pay for repairs and gas. Repairs and gas is a perfect for a high mile, high use truck like mine.

Re: nice to be new

No kidding! Can you take mine under your wing and tell your boss you did it working for him? While your at it, get a paint job and a solid axle for it as well.
