which spark plugs ?

I want to change the spark plugs in my 95' pathy and am wondering which plugs are the best to use? I understand NGK are the OEM plugs. Anyone know how the Bosch plugs perform ?

Re: which spark plugs ?

Don't know about Bosch but I've tried Nippodenso's and changed them out the next day. My 97 Pathy seems to like only NGK's. You may get plenty of responses, I asked the same question a while back. Good Luck & Welcome to the board!!

Re: which spark plugs ?

In a nutshell... A lot of people here have reported mixed results with different brands of plugs (both good and bad) but, I don't think I have ever heard of anyone having bad luck with NGK's.

I would definately go with NGK's as all makes seem to be hit-or-miss.

Re: which spark plugs ?

All I have ever used are the Bosch plugs.

Everytime I change them, I feel like I've supercharged my Path! *lol*

Humm... maybe supercharged is too strong of a word. They definitely feel
like they ad a bit of power though. But I guess you get that from replacing
any worn out spark plugs...

Well, the point I'm trying to make is that I have a '95 Path, and have never
had a problem with the Bosch plugs! *lol*

Re: which spark plugs ?

To play it safe stay with NGK, all the others seem to be dependent on where you live, i.e. Humidity, Heat, etc, etc. I found the Bosch have been great for me, I've just started running the +4's about a month ago and with good results and the old platinums did just fine also. One bonus with Bosch is they all come pre-gapped as well!

any brand as long as they are platinum, that is unless you really enjoy changing plugs.

LOL, a female name appears on the board and suddenly everyone has to respond to the thread. With that being said....I have found that Nissans like the best plug out there which is NGK. As stated above, some people have had success with Bosch plugs but then again others haven't. Never heard a complaint about NGK's though. I would forget about all other brands though.

I've been running BOSCH Platinum on all my vehicles ever since they came out. On my Pathy I've been running 4_Electrode Platinums - for about a
year or so - that's the last set of plugs for it's life I reckon. Powerwise, well it's still a Pathy, although I would say that a good aftermarket ignition system would certainly fill those four gaps with fire!!!
