2wd drive header install...?

Has anyone installed headers on a 2wd 4 banger D21? I am considering this. I have heard the Thorley are around $350 and that it gives you a good power boost and good gas mileage. Can any of you 4wd guys help me out.

Re: 2wd drive header install...?

Just a quick note: 4 cyl Thorleys are about $200 not $350.

Re: 2wd drive header install...?

I got them at a local performance shop here in Southern California (Thorely is just down the road so they are plentiful here). The name of the place is J&M Speed Center in Riverside. Their phone # is (909) 688-7110. The part number for my engine is 456YSC (Z24i from 89). They mostly specialize in domestic vehicles but they had the header for my truck in stock.

You can also try Automotive Customizers and Summitt Racing, I belive Thump got a really good deal on his V-6 headers from summitt?

Re: 2wd drive header install...?

Thanks Rockjaw, was it that hard to do the install? Also my truck is a 91' does that make it a different engine, I think it might be different im not sure. Its a 12 valve 4 banger. But thanks for the info.
