Anybody Install Cruise Control

Anybody install cruise control themself? i want to add it to my stock 97 pickup. Anybody know if vacuum or servo is the way to go. If you go vacuum, do you need the vacuum canister? Does my truck have a VSS (vehicle speed sensor)?any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Anybody Install Cruise Control

Yeah Bug,
Put one on my '89 v6 Path....from ROSTRA PRECISION CONTROLS, $200. installed (don't try it yourself ).
It takes an electric signal, but they also tapped into the vacuum line to the power steering bellows. It works good, tho not as smooth as OEM. Check with your better (?) used car dealers for who they use as an installer.
Feet on the dashboard,
theseasmith.
