i about to rebuild my engine and i am considering stroking it with summits stroker crank this increases the size from the stock 5.8L 351W to 6.5L "or something" 393 and then having it bored .030" over and using 302 pistons for a lower comp rate and giving it a grand total of 408 cubic inches.

the crank is a little pricey and the block has to be clearenced but its a graduation present instead of a newer used truck(cant let go of the bronco)

and does anyone have any suggestions for parts?
i was thinking speed pro forged pistons and rods, nice rv cam, fel pro gaskets, a new valve job (but i really want new heads)and cloyes timing chain...

if you have any suggestions or experience with this motor the help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

If its to be your daily driver, RV cam and you dont plan on using nitrous
, i would save a few bills and get a good set of speed-pro hypereutectic pistons instead of the forged. You really dont need them and may create more problems on a daily driver than their worth, IMO...

Put the money you save towards a really good timing set, cloyes sells both, quality and a cheapy double roller set and i have seen the cheap one stretch out bad after 10K miles.

know i dont think i am going to go with the stroker because of possible ignition changes and that i need to pass emissions and i drive alot so i dont want to spend most of my week at the gas tank but i will add the better parts

so you say the speed-pro hypereutectic pistons

i was planning on going with them because thats what 3 different engine shops had recommended but they didnt say whish ones

then using
-comp xtreme 4x4 cam with a 250 grind, 206/214 degree duration, .448"/.483" lift
-cloyes 'TRUE' double roller timing chain
-melling high volume oil pump
-clevite 77 rod, cam and main bearings
-speed pro plasma moly piston rings
