Hello, I love this site. I have a 92 with a 2.5 motor. I'm trying to squeeze more power from it. Has anyone installed a throttle body spacer, or should I save for a larger size throttle body? I would appreciate any information. Thank you.
I've heard a popular mod for the 2.5 is installing a 4.0 TB. You might search on here and on some search engines for some more information. Welcome to the board, and PLEASE fill out your profile and read the welcoming post on the main page of the Jeep BBS.
Get the phenolic one, plastic, not aluminum, they isolate
the heat much better. Torque it easy or you'll break it.
And yes, a larger Throttle Body also helps.
Make sure all the factory ducting is gone too - lots of air
has to be able to get to it to work, and a K&N Filter, not
a restrictive Chinese "knock off."
Hummm, i should receive a TBI kit from Mr CustomEFI (for the ones who know him) and, after reading this post, i am wondering if it would be any good to install a body spacers with this set-up??? Thanx for letting me know your point of view...
Here's a link to 4Bangers United I think they've tryed everything on the little 2.5 over there.
