Try, try, try and try again- thats what my Mum taught me.

Try opening the attachment again- thanks for the patience.

Just in case it don't work here is a description.

Location- Fire wall side of carb, battery side, at same height as idle adjust screw
Item- Round piece with vacuum hose fitting coming out of upper surface, at bottom has piston type of thing that is coupled to carb.
Problem- I do not know where the hose if any is supposed to go?
I have a broken three way switch on top of flat plate at back of carb above where coolant hoses circulate- I am wondering if it has something to do with that.

Does your Samurai have air conditioning? I'm pretty sure the part you described is on A/C equipped Samurais. I bought a used carb off of an A/C Zuki and it had that part and my original carb without A/C did not. I could not find a good pic of where the hose routes to. Does the inside of your hood still have the vacuum routing diagram?

This is just a guess but it looks like it might be the high idle actuator. I removed all of the emissions stuff off of my Samurai so I'm just going by memory. I think a vacuum hose runs from there to a "switch" on the fire wall then to a vacuum source on the intake.

I have all of my emissions stuff just sitting in my shed taking up room if you need anything. I'll try and check the vacuum diagram to see if I can confirm where that gets run to.

No air con. in my little Zuk- typically it does not get above 85 degrees at 7000 to 8500 ft in northern AZ.

The diagram on the hood is really obscured making it very tricky to read the whole info panel.

Looks like Click will send me a hose layout diagram- thanks for the help.
