WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thing rocks now.
I got the threaded rod and the carb, made the bracket, put in the fuel filter and fired her up.

Upon startup, it sputtered and died, then I got it going with some choke action, I haven't tuned the carb yet, but I just adjusted the idle screw. It idles at a beautiful 800 RPM (nothing ever accomplished on the carter.
Manual choke is on, works great. the throttle is a little hard (spring off the carter is too short)

Using the same old-shmame old aircleaner element, so i have to get a new one.

And I keep getting the urge to step on the clutch and the gas at the same time to keep it running.

everything is good, the sun is shining (well not really)
the grass is green (under the snow) and the birds are singing their sweet song (in the south)

Ohhh, if only you poor Carter BBD guys knew what you were missing.

Total Cost $50 + $200 + $10 + $10
$270 + scrap steel. That's CDN. (So what? $0.45 USD?)

I think I'm going to go sing.. but I'll spare you guys the torment.

I bought the one from summit. $12.95 USD.

Cost me $50 to get it though UPS shafted me on the shipping.

If I had the choice I'd buy again instead of fabbing one. It comes with the right gaskets, and the correct screws/studs. Makes life a whole lot easier. It's also quite a knifty/clean peice of engeneering.
