Well today the skyjacker springs in the rear went a little bent.Picture is attached. The only problems I have is if I remove the spring it would be with the same spring since they are 5" lift.So if anyone has 2 Sammy rears, and 2 YJ 4 packs I would greatly appreciate the help.I am supposed to be going to Haspin Acres on Labor Day weekend, but this small problem is possibly going to force me to become a spectator not a participant.I hate it when that happens.
Thank you....
I don't have any springs (sorry), but I would like to make two comments. A lot of people are going to lifted springs on SPOA's, and the same thing applies for these as well as stock springs. There are two things that are critical for preventing what has happened. First and foremost, people need to run bumpstops, springs can only flex so far negative until the force goes beyond what the metal can stand, and the spring will bend over the spring perch. The second thing is a track bar. Not only does this save your springs, but it also makes your driveshaft and U-Joints much happier. Don't take me the wrong way, I am not picking on you, just an opportunity to post some general thoughts, but I am seeing a rash of zukers who are bending springs. The most important thing is bumpstops, you gotta have em. I run about 4" of up travel in the rear, and about 3" in the front. Any more, and the springs (I run stock rears front and back) can't take it. I use the DT8000 series pre runner shocks with the bump stop built in, and size the shock to give me the up travel that I need. I know that you picked up a set of 32" DT8000's from me at the Indiana Fab (Flood) Fest, how much exposed rod do you have showing when sitting on level ground. If you have more than 4" showing max, I would move out one mounting location on the upper rear mount that you got from us to limit your up travel some.
TWEAKED!!!!! Hell Grumpy Both my rears have looked like that for a year now!! Time for the YJ's!!

Well Bob I would like to fix mine.It has thrown a really bad driveshaft pitch and the axel isn' sitting in staight now.It would be easier to drop a size in tire and put different springs on than have to do major repair work later. You know I take care of my toys.
The only sad part was there was no spring flexing at the time.I was trying to climb a short steep hill and I guess the tires caught solid ground and thus my problem.Torque twisted it.At least that is what I think happened.
I took my rears that I run up front to Warner spring on US31 and they fixed the bad spring added a leaf for my v-6 and arched them 2" for $152.00.I am very happy with them.If you are short on $$$,I Worked 7 ,12 Hour days last week,so I can loan you the money if you are short.Let me know,RR

Maybe that's why I keep eating u-joints.....hmmmm.
You were actually flexing, and you just didn't know it.
You were down in the creek bed trying to get out, the motor was forcing your springs in a big S shape. Not good!!
Some sort of pinion snubber, or modified traction bar seems in order (or make your truck so it doesn't have as much power and traction...And I don't think you want that!!)
