Well, the other day I decided it was time for a change with the Yukon so I went and ordered some 285 BFG MT's to go on my new Chevy 99-01 5-spoke rims. I got an amazind deal on the tires/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif I paid $201CDN a piece or for you guys south of the boarder...thats only $131US a piece. That was installed and ballanced and everything in so it was a great price. Next best price on the tires I found was $234. Anyway, so they make the Yukon look really really agresive now and I said "Hey, it looks damn good but still to quiet so I went to the local Stainless Steel mufler shop in town and got him to remove my muffler and in place put a straight 3" pipe. My exaust in the 93 Yukon was off a brand new Vortec one so it was 3" and mandrel bent so I went with just a 3" pipe where the muffler was instead of a new tail pipe because he cant mandrel bend the 3" pipe.
Anyway, the Yukon now sounds amazing. I was really shocked at the sound quality. I had both a flowtech muffler and then a Y-pipe on my 92 Sport and my friends 96 Z71 has a Flowmaster 40 Series and this sounds much better and isn't anyoing like that flowmaster is when on the highway. It has a realy nice rumble. I could have something to do with the 3" out the side in the stock location with a single pipe.
Anyway, I will have LOTS of pics after this weekend. I might even get some pics of the Yukon pulling the sled at the truck pulls if I can get into the stock class(not sure if there is one at this pull or not)
Just thought I would tell ya all what I got today/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
