Anyone need a set of 40\'s

I am in So. Cal. I need to trade down from my 40" Ground Hawgs to like around a 35". I'll swap rims too for equal rims. tread - I'll take 30-70% Check my home page to see my tires.

Cool ride! I've got a '71 and a '72. The '71 has 60s front and rear and fits 40" Hawgs with just a 4" kit! That makes a real stable ride. Why you wantin' to drop down a notch? I'm in Indiana, too far to do any tire tradin'.

Re: Anyone need a set of 40\'s

Here's the deal, I just bought the truck for $1500 and it has a 12 bolt rear with 4:56's and a D44 front with stock gears (3.73's I think). I have a box with 3.73's & a detroit locker on my floor in my garage so I'm thinking of putin the higher gears in. If the truck had D60's front & Rear I'd keep the tires, but at this point, on my budget ($0-$0) I want to at least be able to put it in 4WD (that is kind of why I bought a blazer) Plus to keep the tires I'd need to do a lot of steering work to help the truck track better.

It makes sense now. It's a shame you don't have the 4.56s for the front. You could get the steering worked out sooner or later. Maybe someone would give you too much for that detroit locker and you could gear the front! Anyway, good luck.
