i cant wait m still working on the cj5 i hope to be ready in 17 days the carb is giving me fits now so do i rebuild the stock 2brl motercraft or put my alum intake and holly that i know works grate??????? is it may yet
Rebuild the 2100 - it only takes an hour. Leave more time for other stuff that surely needs to be done, like get a tent, make potato salad, pickle some pig's feet . . .
So the park will be open til 7:00 on Saturday, correct? How much prep time should we allow for our supper contribution. I have something in mind, but it may take too long to cook (rice dish). I only ask because I myself probably won't want to wait long to eat after wheeling from 9-7. I suppose I could supplement protein with liquid carbs tho. :smirk:
I think someone mentioned a year or two ago that those little orange flags are required. Is this correct?
I have a little goodie from Rock Hard 4x4 for the raffle and will harrass Cabelas again Monday for something as well.
Now... Who's gonna volounteer to save me a campin spot. I probably wont roll in til 6 or so Thursday. I hate the thought of driving all day, only to get bumped to a secondary campground for some stupid reason.
Oh... Did I mention that I have yet to really "test" the new gears and ELocker? I should probably throw on some warm clothes and put a couple of miles on her before I strap her down to the trailer. Pretty sure I still need to do a little adjusting to the drag link as well. Otherwise I should be good to go.
13 days and counting... Come on guys and gals, it's crunch time!!!
In the past, by the time I've just gotten the chili hot everyone else is half done eating, so this year I'm going to put it in a crockpot and plug it into a timer to start heating about 4:00. Could you do the same with your dish?
Yes, flags are required. I have at least two, maybe three. They're not expensive at the park, although they're a lot cheaper at Walmart. They're around the bicycles.
I'll save you a place. You want to be around the ldcodger: where it's quiet, or with the kids who whoop it up until the wee hours?
I've got some rear axle issues I just discovered yesterday. (JimLou & Toby called me Friday and inspired me to go check out my junk.) I plan on getting it fixed today and have everything ready to go so if it rains or keeps raining I'll be there!
i worked on my cj yesterday the lift is done and it runs good now i have to mount the winch and find tires oh and i have a lot of wire under the dash that i have to go through no working gauges yet i have i have aftermarket oil and temp on it now and id like to find better seats i have 10 days ill geter done
I can bring some BUNS (for sammys) and some cole slaw. I'm also doing my best rain dance (Crazy Eddie has to be there). Also is anyone going to need a ride ? I'll keep my back seat in if needed. My date just cancelled out due to a work conflict( so watch out ladies).
I realy wish I could have made it this year. It was kinda looking like it was going to happen but we had some school conflict with Jr. high and high school. All the 8th graders heading to highschool next year have a trip to Branson on that Saturday and now the high school seniors are having their graduation on Sunday. Lucky me, I get to tag along to Branson and keep my youngest son and his friends in line and come home and do the graduation thing for my oldest son on Sunday... Buisy, buisy...
Thanks Jim! You know... I think I'm running right in between rasing kane all night and needing sleep to function. As long as I'm close to the fun either way will be fine.
I will not make a hot dish. I will bring a large bowl of Mexican Caviar. You will like it. I might also snag a tub of potato salad or something.
I can't wait... I'm borrowing the neighbor's aluminum trailer. Pick it up this weekend, pack Wednesday and leave as the sky is turning orange Thursday AM.
I was just funnin' you about reserving a space. We have the entire park to ourselves, so there's plenty of space. If you get in late and everyone is snoozing, park anywhere - you can always move the next day. We congregate in the north west corner, and I'll leave the porch light on for you.
Looks like CJ this time. Waiting on a front driveshaft and then this will be the first trip out on a rebuilt transmission (last week), 304 (2 years ago), spring over and dana 44 front (last year). I'll probably put the 34" LTB's on for this time instead of the 35" BFG's.
ill grill some wisconsin bear brats for saterday i wont have the big top its still up north at my bros house will the owner of te camp ground set us up with those tents
If all goes well, I'll see everyone on Thursday, at least those of you there on Thursday. I just have to make the short trip across the Atlantic to home then it is easy street until Thursday.
