Any of you with kids will understand my reaction when I realized that my kids were still outside and it was 'quiet'....way to quiet......

why the boys were quiet

Let me stress.....when you don't hear your kids....it's time to see what they are up to.....

Quiet definitly = something bad happening!
Not always. As usual, I had the granddaughter over the weekend. Saturday morning, we went to a park with a large sand lot. We stayed there for a while, went to get lunch, brought it back and ate at one of the picnic tables. She played in the sand for a while longer.

We came home and she played while I put the new bicycle I'd bought for her together. She rode it for over an hour then she ran and played in the grassy field across from the house then rode the bicycle some more.

I fed her dinner. Since she didn't finish her pickle, I knew she was full so I was going to wait for dessert. She watched television for a little bit and then went upstairs to play in her room. After a while I didn't hear her so I went up to check and ask her if she was ready for some strawberries and ice cream. There she was in the middle of my bed, sound asleep. A four-year old put herself to bed at 6:30PM. She didn't wake up until 7:30 the next morning.

Only bad thing was the capri length jeans she had on had cuffs. Cuffs + sand lot + went to bed with her clothes on, my bed was full of sand.

Cute John, very nice!

Just goes to show why us NorCal residents hate SoCal Residents! We go on Drought status, and we get to watch you all water your lawns, wash your cars, etc, from our water coming down the aqueduct ;)

Hate to see your water bill!

If it's quiet for more than a few minutes with my little "ball of fire" I get worried and have to check. She's always reading or something good, but IT STILL SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF ME. (if you know what I mean)
Better safe than sorry.
