This is a little off topic, but I think its too cool not to post them! Anybody made one of these? This was last summers project, a Murray go-cart with a 220 Kawi, It might be a little crude, but we thrashed it all summer and its still going strong!

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif YES, theres a roll bar on my jeep... We though about putting a roll cage on the cart at one time, but just never did. Its kinda one of those, if your stupid enough to get in it, you've signed a waiver on safety anyway,,/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif

Hi Matt, yeah, my buddy was on the power trip too, he wanted a bigger motor, but I convinced him the 220 would be enough.. He hasn't rode it since he clipped the neighbors dog in 4th gear.../wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif He did a 180, Trashed the axle too..

We just got the idea we wanted a go-cart to slap a motor on, and just thought about it as we went. It wasn't hard at all really, we got the go-cart for free, and the motor for 75 bucks.. The I just made a cradle to hold the engine, bolted it to go-cart just like it was a 5hp.(so its adjustable for the chain tension) A local Farm-supply store should have a variety of sprokets and chains, for cheap, too. Then all I did was make a shifter and run linkage to the motor.. I also had to get gas to the carb somehow, I opted for a vaccum fuel pump,(like on snowmobiles and jetskis) for like 20 bucks, and a homemade walmart "fuel cell" /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif Thats about it, really, Wal-la, you've got a go-cart that will top 50+mph, and even has REVERSE to get out of tight spots on the trails!! God, I love this thing/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
