holy crap!!!! the twist throttle rocks!!!! Try going to junk yard or aftermarket place for a new thumb throttle....
I will tell you though, if you ride with the twist throttle for a while and get used to it, you wont go back to thumbthrottle!!!!!!

I would not want a thumb throttle now...no way nu uh.....

i just cant get used to it. all i have ever ridden is a thumb throttle, other than my CR and i hated the twist throttle on it as well. maybe i just need to ride it more and make myself get used to it. don't know what i'll do yet, just have to see how much a thumb throttle will cost, i guess that will be the biggest deciding factor. :)

Not too much for thumb throttle

a thumb throttle should only cost (at most) $60 for a competition thumb throttle, for a stock one, prob...$25-$30.

then when you are used to it you are going to end up getting one for the shee....i used to hate them until i rode my bros 300ex for a while with one...went out and bought one that day!

Re: Not too much for thumb throttle

I have the twist on one of my Blasters and the thumb on my other one I HATE the twist , I find with the twist when hitting a bunch of bumps its ,on,off,on,off because of the sideways motion

Re: Not too much for thumb throttle

thats the main thing that i dont like about it, that it is hard to hold a consistent throttle position when riding. but i am going to try to make myself learn how to use it and get use to it, and then if not i will look into getting another thumb throttle.
