Dana 44 Question revisited...

Hi all

Thanks to the folks who answered my other question...

Sounds like the DJ5 dana would need a lot of mod to work on my CJ,

But.... Can I take the guts out of the pumkin and install them in my rear end?

Sure, but they are only 3.07 gears and a Trash-Lock. Almost every other Jeep with this axle had better gears in it. Grand Wagoneers frequently used 3.31 gears...

Restoring a '74 DJ-5C /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif It was running good, so I messed with the carb to make it run better. Now it wont run at all! /wwwthreads_images/icons/mad.gif

Cool, I learned something new today. Guess its possible to teach an Old Hand new tricks /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif, especially this one! /wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif
