Offroader from MT

Hey guys. I'm not new to offroading. Or to wrenching. I am new to building offroading rigs though so the majority of my posts will be asking for info and ideas.

About myself, I'm a mechanic in SW Montana that loves offroading. I've always just used stock vehicles but I'm getting interested in building a dedicated offroad/hunting rig.

Now, about my rig. It's a 97 Chevy Suburban K1500 w/ the 5.7L Vortec. The wildest I wanna get with it is a solid axle swap. Most of what I wanna do is bolt on stuff with occasional mild fabrication. Depending on how things go, I might one day do an engine swap since this thing has some MILES on it. Maybe switch to a manual transmission too.

Anyways, feel free to fire any questions my way.
