Im Getting started

I need some input/help from the community. I recently decided i wanted to get into off-roading but im not sure where to start. I have a 2000 z71 tahoe. The only after-market products on it are a k&n intake and exhaust. My truck is decent off-road but i havent done much with it. The front end bottoms out easily if i go through a dip faster than like 20 or 25mph. I want to make my tahoe into a desert-racing beast ha. I want to be able to get going about 50-60 mph through the desert with ease in my tahoe. So my questions are
1. Is this possible to do with my tahoe.
2. What do i need to get done to my truck to achieve this, i know ill need new desert racing shox, a new suspension, a skid plate, a 2 inch lift or more, and probably new tires that can handle that.
3. What kind of price am i looking at for all of these upgrades?
Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
