Baxk at it after 25yr

Ok, I am new again! I dont think anything has changed after 20 plus years except technology, tire sizes and the size of my gut. I am starting with a 1984 cj7 frame only. I have chosen a ford 302 hooked to a NP435, addaptig to a dana 300( wich im still working on getting the adapter). The process of replaceing the main shaft in the tranny is a bit intimidating. Im thinking it might be smarter to take it to the tranny shop? a couple hundred? other than that, some modifications to my motor mounts and cross member I should be well under way. Any pointers through this project wil be greatly appericiated!!!!

Sounds like a difficult project, but learning how to fix something is half the fun! I'm sure at one point you didn't know how to change brakes or change the oil.......
