Hey Guys,
Whats popin?
Got a '96 Grand Cherokee and just tryin to keep it runnin.
Nothin shakin at the moment (literally or figuratively) cept
two mechanics have independent of each other both recomended
control arm replacement.
Looks like a ten minute job that they are asking $600.00 to do.
The beast has 100 K on it so maby it does need a little tlc but
how do I know? How do bad control arms manifest themselves?
Advice?

Either worn bushings, or plain old bent. $600 seems pretty steep to me. Possibly they are quoting replacing all 4, plus the cross link? Either way, you should be able to do this yourself with a basic set of tools, and save a bit of money.
