Running into issues with stopping,I have to stand on pedal to stop . new shoes, wheel cyl.,master cyl, It has power booster, was tested ok.Whats the deal ? any one had this issue ?
Check the arc of the shoes to the drums and ensure you have full contact. Check the drum surface. Sometimes, if the drums have been burnt, machining is not enough. The surface may have to be ground or the drums replaced
if the pedal is very hard to push but functional, then possible low vacuum, vac leak, bad check valve to the booster? if pedal goes to the floor, or soft and not very functional, then system may need to be bled, or the shoes/ parking brake need to be adjusted. another possibility is bad or wrong master cylinder. what is the history of this problem? ie: symptoms came on suddenly, or after a brake service
Sounds like a brake fluid and/or shoe problem for sure. Bleed the system and put fresh fluid in there.
