waterproofing a jeep

quick question hopefully alot of different answers and ideas. I was trying to make a checklist of exactly what needs to be done ton waterproof a 92 jeep wrangler so I can take it off roading and since I pretty much know to run longer vent lines and a friend of mine is helping me make a snorkel for the intake I was just wondering what else I can do. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: waterproofing a jeep

Using a non corresive cylicone you can cylicone the cap to the distributor take note the vent on the dist. cap near the number 1 wire also needs to have a hose or tube ran out to wherever your snorkel will be and if you dont the spark within the dist. cap will ionise the air in there causing spark scatter. So you must vent the distributor cap. Also depending on year, if the dist. has a lower vent on the bottom side that must be plugged as well. Good Luck! TC
