I help put on a mudbog here in Jersey every year. The best thing is to have an automatic. But since you have a stick and 4.10's aren't that low, I'd run second gear 4wd low. The mistake is guys try to shift thinking they'll gain speed. When they bog down, they try to down shift so the motor won't stall. That stops them in their tracks. Our rules state it's over when forward momentum stops. Use 2nd gear and resist the urge to shift. When you hit the deep stuff, just chug along at a high RPM to keep the tires clean and turn the steering wheel back and forth to grab fresh goo and pull you along.
The trouble with being on top...You always have to look over your shoulder. The best never rest. Fear the FORD thunder!!!
