Hmmmmmm... No t-case? No low-range? No SRA? Like the Land Rover Freelander??? The Xterra couldn't get all 4 wheels off the pavement.

Re: M-Class Ban

I think we should just call them by thier true name: Sport Utility Car. If it don't have a transfer-case, low-range or at least a solid rear axle, then it is in fact a S.U.C. So go on up to that soccor mom in the parking lot of the grocery store and tell her she has a nice SUC!!!! hehehe

Yeah but then again some of us like to drive our SUV's on road also and enjoy knowing that if i have to stop short i can or if i have to turn quickly i can or if i want to beat the guys ass next to me off the line in the truck with the 96" tires or being able to take a turn at a normal rate of speed without worrying about flipping my truck rather than worring about a solid rear axle or weather or not my truck can make it over a 5 foot rock..

and as for low range the MB definatly has low range and i dont know if you guys know who won this years paris-dakar ralley or not but it was the MERCEDES ML

Re: M-Class Ban

I think that if you made these SUV's with manual locking hubs, manual transmissions and transfer cases that had low range in them then you wouldn't see so many of them being driven.
