as the token "new guy" i'll get the stupid question out of the way.. I was looking on the Dynojet website for any info on rejetting the pair of Stromberg carbs in my Series 2A ( Rover V8 3.5Lt) to get the carburation right (it's running a little lean even with the mixture turned up full), Guess what? Dyno jet dont do anything but Bike kits. Booo! Are there any other companies that make jetkits? i've had a look over here (U.K) but cant seem to find much.

Re: Hiya

Wow, strombergs. Haven't heard of those on anything but old school hot rods in years, and yours is the first mention I've ever seen of it on a 4x4. Ummm, try asking on the General 4x4 forum, maybe someone else knows from some other make or their hot rod play toy?

Re: Hiya

You might do a search for some HOT ROD sites because people building retro hot rods is a pretty big thing and they might be able to help you out.

Re: Hiya

thanks guy's.. have had a look around but this afternoon i had a go at check the carburation for real ( i got a hold of a "Haines" Manual) according to the proceedure as laid out, it appears the Boris is running very close to nominal. It is a "little" weak, but it's such a small amount i'm not sure it's worth worrying about. I've got a day playing in a quarry lined up for tommorow so that should tell.

To change the subject, i got offered an old Ford 3.0Lt "Essex" V6 for free yesterday. Do you guy's know if this is gonna be a pain to fit if the V8 blows up?? I've seen conversion kits for the "Colone" V6 but this usually means fitting the auto box from an old randa or some such. What i need is an adaptor plate for the bell-housing-to-gearbox interface. not managed to find one yet......
