auto trans shift knob removal?
Hi,
I'm trying to remove the console from a 71 Commando wagon with an auto trans. The manual (page attached) indicates that the knob on the shifter should just unscrew for removal. I can get mine unscrewed but it will not come off the shifter. I really don't want to force it and break something. Is there a hidden pin or allen screw?

The center button in the larger knob unscrews first. A pair of pliers will get it started.
