Santa came early, Jeep is now a Trailer Queen

Well Jeep wife couldn't hide the new trailer brake setup in the Suburban, and she was so excited about picking out & buying the trailer herself she had to give it to me early. I was just as excited, no more having to borrow one, or worrying if the Jeep will make it home after a run. 16 foot, 4 wheel electric brakes w/ battery, d ring tie downs, and the black and red pinstripes just happens to match the CJ7

80" wide deck, not sure on the weight. 2 - 3500lb. axles with electric brakes which in WA. is a requirement for a car trailer. I must've been either really bad, or really good since I still have some things wrapped under the tree, but no presents around the 36-38" range.

Sweet! Make sure you put a pad lock through the safety chains to your tow vehicle. Wouldn't want to come back and find the thing drove off by itself.

Huh?

That is soooo nice!!!
That's just what I've been trying to find but its impossible to locate car haulers over here on this rock.
Would you mind posting (or email me)the manufactures name and how to get in touch with them. Thanks
Very nice trailer.
Merry Christmas

Re: Santa came early, Jeep is now a Trailer Queen

Now, I went to the big Island for my honeymoon, (which is where we rented a jeep, which got the Jeepchick interested, which allowed me to get my own jeep) but why would you need a trailer for the island? it only takes a half a day to drive around the whole thing. the area you are on has all the cool lava fields, so you would be trailering it what, 30-40 minunts max? LOL
but really, it was a great place to vist, and one day I would love to go back.

Gald you enjoyed "my" Island, should have looked me up, would have shown you some "secret" wheeling spots.
The way my jeep is setup now, I would'nt get two miles down the road without getting a dozen tickets, been warned a few times already.
I ship it to other islands for competitions(which have worse laws then here) and planning a trip to the west coast next year, so a trailer is a necessity. And it beats flat towing, which i'm doing now.

That is really nice! I got my Christmas a little early this year, 2001 Dodge Cummins Diesel, but don't have any money to get a trailer! That sucks! Oh well, one of these days...
Your a lucky boy, enjoy!

Good present! We have one very similar:

You'll like it, it's nice to have one with a full deck, rather than just a car hauler, 'cause then you can strap some extra things on if you have to....

BUT - It is certainly dangerous (kinda) to have, you now have the luxory of being able to buy parts (or extra) jeeps and not have to worry about how you are going to get them home.... if you have the room

Re: Santa came early, Jeep is now a Trailer Queen

Wayne,
Send me a message with your addresss, and I send you the auto classieds from the LA times (Im, in LA for a few more days, and have a Sunday edition, sitting next me, crumpled up on the Hotel floor). I was amazed at how much stuff was in there, I havent read an LA times in years. In fact I drove out to San berardino yesterday and paid for a D44 front 86 Grand Waggy axle for a freind ($125 complete with springs and steering). Ill also throw in a couple Auto Traders and Recyclers. Those sources will have dozens of trailer manufacturers, along with thier pricing, and also hundreds of sources for every automotive parts/service you could think of.
Ill put a package together for ya, and mail it before we get on our flight, wednesday.
You better let me know when your gonna be in the west coast so we can wheel together. By the way, my YJ was originaly purchased and registered in Hawaii.
