Power valve for 2100 carb

I picked up a 2100 in pieces and an opened rebuid kit and I'm in the process of putting it together. The power valve I've got is a tall 2 stage and it won't fit the power valve cover I've got. I called the parts store and the only way I can get the correct power valve is to order another rebuild kit, but they do have some power valves on the rack, will other's interchange with the 2100? Can I get a holley power valve and put in on? If so anyone have a part number to look for?

Re: Power valve for 2100 carb

I have encountered 2 different PV covers, a shallow and a deep. I bought a kit for a 78 Ford 302, and it came with a long PV which will not fit under the shallow cover. The carb I'm using is of unknown origin, but came with a deep cover with a short PV. Why ??? . Either get a different kit or search for a deeper PV cover. There must have been a lot of variations of this carb, cause I picked up 3 from a Waggoneer junkyard and all 3 were Quite a bit different.

You had to do what to fit those little tires?
I'm sure glad I own a CJ!

Re: Power valve for 2100 carb

I was going to try a holley power valve but I didn't know which one to use since there's about 5 different numbers to pick from. It looks like it would fit the hole, but which one do I try?
Here's the numbers for the single stage:

And they are the same numbers at the parts store too.

The power valve should be selected as described in this link:

1976 CJ7 304/TH400/QT/D30/AMC20
Front D44 in process.
