Mechanics in Boise, ID

I'm sure I'll catch hell for even asking but: Does anyone know of a decent mechanic in the Boise area? I need new gears before I head to Korea and don't have the facilities/time/know-how. I've heard good things about High Mountain. Any opinions?

High Mountain/Six States is a good place to go if you are looking for gears or drivelines.

Re: Mechanics in Boise, ID

I've had good luck with High Mountain.
I've gone there a couple of times when i didn't have the tools to finish the job I started and they always did a good job for a reasonable price.
When I didn't have airtools to remove the torx bits from the rollbar on my YJ tub, I brought it down there and they loosened all the bolts and didn't charge me. Granted, it only took 10 minutes or so, but most shops would have charged the minimum shop charge.

Believe it or not, I've gotten good service also from the Jeep dealer(Peterson's on Fairview), but that's on my ZJ.

What ever you do, avoid Bronco Motors at all costs. I have a three page list of things they screwed up on my warrantied ZJ.
