Jeeper99xj - Marquette, MI trails

No bucks i see your are in Marquette, how do you like the wheeling up there? I was up there visiting nmu and hit a couple of the trails across from marquette Mt. in a stock xj and they were sweet, the side trails looked like the wheeling out there does get kinda crazy. Is there some crazy wheeling up there? seemed like a lot of it.

There're tons of trails up here, with new ones added every day by logging crews and lots of public land.

That road across from Mqt Mt. is pretty interesting. Did you see the waterfalls just off the road? The trails off to the side were powerline trails, right? Those things can get really crazy with some hellacious hill climbs, but stock trucks do all right on the majority of the trails.

Of course there's also a ton of DEEP mud up here, which can be bad if you're not set up for it, and it can be good if you are. I haven't explored even a quarter of the trails around here yet, but I'm working on it.

Are you gonna be coming up to school here? There's a pretty good club in town called the Northwoods Trailblazers. Their trucks are pretty hard on the eyes, but they get the job done with big tires and big engines.

Here's a pic of a friend of mine on that trail you mentioned

Hey, another Yooper! I'm from Iron Mountain and have been wanting to get up to the meat market to do some wheeling. Maybe I'll catch you guys out on the trial sometime!

Re: Jeeper99xj - Marquette, MI trails

Thanks no bucks, I think that was the same trail. I only rember one mud hole on the main trail and it might have been that one, we also kinda when up and over a huge hill (pretty easy but fun and i found some dunes off the side of the road (i think on the same road as marquette mt.). I'm going to apply to northern MI but that's not for another year i'm still a Jr. but i may head up there for some skiing or wheeling. The wheeling sounds sweet and should be fun if i end up at nmu.
