High lift lube

Just wondering what everyone is using to lube their high lift jack. I am wondering about the actual lube and also how you apply it... I wish they had greese fittings. Thanks for any help.

Re: High lift lube

I just shoot mine with WD-40, PB Blaster, or what ever is handy every once in a while. And right before each trail ride.

Ditto. WD all over the moving parts once in a while, and I've had mine 16 years, most of that time mounted outside the Jeep.

Re: High lift lube

Same here, anything that'll give it some lube. I carry a small can of Liquid Wrench that is used only for the hi-lift. A couple of squirts and it's back to normal.

Re: High lift lube

the best thing i have used, as far as lubricating anyway, was motor cycle chain lube but the bad thing is it likes to collect dirt so wd-40 is what i use.

Re: High lift lube

I use WD-40. I spray it before trailrides or if I'm working on the Jeep and have Wd-4o in my hand I might walk by the Hi-Lift and spray it down.

Re: High lift lube

I use white lithium grease, main thing is test it out before you use it. My first experience trying to use it as a winch it wouldn't jack down, I lost a tow strap out of that mistake.
