Do Wrangler tops work with CJ-7?

One of my buddies has a CJ-7 and obtained a hardtop and soft top for dirt cheap. The tops are for a wrangler however. I wanted to know if anyone knew if they would fit a CJ-7. The soft top is the factory style soft top, and the hardtop has no hardware. I've never seen a hard top on a jeep (i'm from texas, you just dont see it much) so I dont know how one goes on. Also does anyone know of an easy way to go from soft top to hard top without taking all the hardware off?

The hard top will work, but you'll have a fit opening the liftgate without opening the spare tire. You cant open the tailgate (cj) with a yj top without opening the window first. The soft top will work just fine IF it comes with all the hardware, otherwise it wont.

It's as close to a 1ton as it can get and still be a jeep!!! Gotta love it!!

Both tops will work with some minor variations on operation. The rear windows will have to be down before the tailgate is closed so you'll have to climb inside to latch the tailgate after closing the window and then the tailgate. All the soft top hardware will have to be removed before the hardtop can be put on.
