TLC\'s \"4-Wheel Force\" to re-air.

I watched the show last night and happened to see the post about it today. It's a neat segment. If anybody wants to watch it again, it will be on TLC Saturday, Dec 8 at 2:00 pm. If you've never seen it, make time to watch it.

Re: TLC\'s \"4-Wheel Force\" to re-air.

I watched that to I liked the trick those guys crossing the artic used to reseal thier tires, were they put lighter fluid on them and lite them and they resealed. I was wondering if that worked only because of the extreme differance between the cold weather around them and the heat caused by the fire or would it work any where.

Re: TLC\'s \"4-Wheel Force\" to re-air.

It most definately works, have used for years on tractor tires, paddle tires, race car tires. NOTE: YOU MUST BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DOING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only that but some ethers are better than others.

My father, a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic taught me that trick. It's kind of cool on car and truck tires, but look out if you try it with, say, the tire off a 966 or 980 cat! Been there, seen it done by another mechanic, wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole!
