I am thinking more about my SOA lately. Which springs should I use? I am going to either get the JCWhitney CJ 7leafs or the YJ6leafs. Either way I am using rear springs all around.
Thanks,
Tom
PS I will have a trac bar and highsteer, so don't rain on my SOA parade.
If you get the YJ springs you'll have to modify the hangers.... remember that the YJ springs on a CJ are wider.... hence the modification to the mount.
Get the 7 leaf CJ rears, as we found out before they are the only ones Military wrapped and don't sag as much. I put the YJ 5 leafs on all the way around, and they are flat w/o taking it on the trail yet. Looks like I'll be adding leafs after the first run, or switch to the 7 leaf pack.

Thanks PBM. I was planning to get the CJ 7leafs, but I just got a new catalog and it made me think about the YJ 6leafs. I am a little concerned about the drag link clearance on my highsteer setup with 7leafs. But I guess since I haven't built it yet I shouldn't worry about it.
I just ordered and received the 7 leaf JCW springs.... free shipping to boot! They look good and I hope one night this week to get rears in, then turn the jeep around to start doing the front SOA.
