Yabba dabba dooo. My bro and I just finished fitting a 38 Weber carb onto my 258 and now she really goes like stink.
Its also gotten rid of a load of problems ie dodgy idling engine cut out etc.
She was strong before but now she feels great. My next engine project is the TR upgrade(I might get a Juicebox to save hassle) I`ll let you know how that goes (Hooch have you done yours yet,if so how is it).
Got back from Portugal the other day to find my 2.5"trailmaster lift kit and my 31`s waiting for me, too bad they sent the wrong tyres (I ordered BFG A/T`s) so I had to send them back.
So i`m waiting for the tyres and rims before I attempt the lift.
I`ll keep you posted.
It`s funny I`m a computer jockey who 6mths ago would never even thought about changing carbs or adding lift kits (I`m even thinking about engine swaps). So I`ve got to thank all the good guys on this forum who have held my hand and answered some of my dumbass questions.
I`ve still got a huge way to go (welding next) but I should get there with your help.
