hi all, been lookin for a off road/winter driver for my bro... hes gettin a 2002 m3(which i tell him he doesnt really need... 55,000!!!!) so hes lookin for a cheap truck or something for winters and stuff. he was looking for a sami(got him hooked hehe) but i found a 91 yj with 106000 mi for 2500.... is this good?

its red, only has the 4cyl (what is a like a 2.5 or somethin?) Has 4 inches of suspension lift and 3 inches on the body. New 33x11.50 tires all around with aftermarket wheels. Has a soft top. is it worth it? cain t 5.o stang be swapped in easily? thx

2500 sounds pretty darn good, I'd buy it if he doesn't. At that price, even with all the extras, it would be fairly easy to drop in a new engine if that one is gone.

That is a very good price. I would go for it. I ran up to 35" tires with a 2.5, they are a good little engine for trail and around town, but a little underpowered for the highway. The good thing is, that when it comes time to swap the 2.5 out, you can lift it out by yourself with 1 hand.
I bought my 89 YJ about 6 years ago for $3700 with 89K on the engine.

Re: lookin for a off road veh. for bro.

I bought my 89 YJ with the 2.5 and 91k miles for $1500. It runs and has no rust. I think whenever people hear 4 cylinder they figure they should just stay the hell away from it. But it is a great lil engine, mine has 101k now on it and still runs beautifully, I have only had to replace a cracked manifold in the 5 years or so that I have owned it.

Heres my 91 Yj. Its a 2.5L and I can't tell that much diference in power with the bigger tires, of course I mostly just drive around town. But it a great wehicle, and thats a good price.
