The Jeep I bought has a 13/4" coil spacers and rancho RS9000's. I have some 33" BFG's and would like to put them on the Jeep...however I do want them to actually fit and not hit anything, even off road. So my question is would a 2" body lift (even though I don't really like them...) give me enough clearance? I would rather get a good 4" suspension kit, but after just purchasing the Jeep, I don't think that will be happening...

if you have AC, you can only do a 1 inch body lift. I would recommend spring spacers in your case. lifts it, but doesn't leave the body gap

He already has spacers. What about 2" lift springs on top of the 1-3/4" spacers?

Which wheels are you using,stock or aftermarket.If you have the 15x8" Canyon Wheels the backspacing will not work.They will rub even with 3.5" of lift.I have a 3" RE lift that sits closer to 4" and with the Canyon Wheels.I had the local tire store test fit a BFG 33" by 12" MT and it rub.Stock offset is around 5.25.

You can do a 2" body lift on a TJ with AC. We just did one on a 2000 and another buddy of mine has a 3" body lift on his 97. Both of those have AC.

I'm guessing a 4". My buddy's had that and 33' M/T's and would stull rub lightly at full flex. His is a 97 with no body lift and had a cheapie superlift. Total was just under 400 with everything.

I have a 97 TJ with a 4" Supersh*# lift. They are pretty cheap, they don't come with control arms and all that good stuff but I don't have any rub with my 33s on it at full flex. Just a thought, if you put a 2" body you should be ok, maybe some slight rubbing but it really is ideal to have at least 3" to get a good flex with 33s.

Have you thought of a shackel lift. Lifting a TJ with AC is not easy, and to tell you the truth I thought 1 inch was the limit. But a shackel lift will get you up in the air a little but without the huge cost. Somthing to think about.

I'm not thinking a shackle lift is possible on a TJ, since you already have the coil spacers I would say the next cheapest thing would be a body lift of some sort.

Hey Olin, just as a reminder, a TJ is coil sprung, not leaf sprung so no shackles. I guess the coil spacers would be equal to shackles as far as lift goes.
