Gas Milage of a 360/999

Just wondering what kind of milage to expect when I finish the conversion. I will be running using all stock CA emissions, 4:56 gears and 33" tires. Can't be good....

Now I have a good reason to go get a 22 gal gas tank.

I have a similar setup. 360/th400/4.10/33's. My gas mileage is around 10-10.5

Re: Gas Milage of a 360/999

A guy here in town has a 360/727 setup with 4.56 gears and 33's and he swears he gets 16 mpg. Makes me sick because I barely get 10 with my 258/999 running 33's.

My girlfriend said if I spent one more dime on my Jeep she would leave. Man I'm going to miss her!

Typically 10mpg but do some tweekin'. We've got a 360/999, 4.56, 35's, spooled frt and rear and it gets 18mpg.

Why are a lot of Jeep buyers wondering about fuel economy for ? Jeeps are not fuel efficient period . If you thought they were well .... Need 40 MPG then get a bike , unlimited MPG .

Re: Gas Milage of a 360/999

I was wondering about the gas mileage so I could decide if I needed a 22 gal gas tank, of if I could stay with the stock 15 gal tank. I don't like to waste all my limited cargo space carrying extra fuel...

AMC 401 with 600 holley - alum intake & headers - 4:56s and 33s - 11-12mpg. My speedo is still set up for stock tires so it is off some?
