STOP with the Jeep mods!!!

I have recently learned from two separate but positively "reliable" sources that: "If Jeep needed that, it would have come that way from the factory." SO......STOP changing your Jeeps! No matter what the problem is with your Jeep, you have two choices: (1) LIVE with it; or (2) have it towed to the nearest Jeep dealer and renewed to perfectly stock condition. You have until the first of October to get those silly modifications OFF of your Jeeps!

Re: STOP with the Jeep mods!!!

The time that happens is the time my Jeep converts to a Chevy, or maybe a Jevy II.

Besides, the proper way to think of it is my Jeep is built the way it SHOULD have been built in the first place if Jeep knew what they were doing. Think about it, SR-4? 2 Piece AMC 20 that is narrow track? Front D30 with 5 bolt hubs? Someone was asleep at the drawing board, or it's one big joke on the USA.

Dave, don't you have the ARCTIC version?

CJDave,

did you talk to that Chrysler-Daimler Salesman again ... ;oD

... as a matter of fact, there is a similar saying in the unimog world (but there it is true... If you want a stronger mog, buy a stronger mog)

Re: STOP with the Jeep mods!!!

Since when did Jeep became a Land Rover product? Don't the Land Rover owners follow that Factory only modification plan?

Re: STOP with the Jeep mods!!!

I'm in real trouble....i need to get a weak cj frme and rusty metal body. since my jeep was an 83, I'll have to get a 258 or 4 banger, toss the tf 727 for a t-5, take out the roll cage, swap the front d-60 and rear 14 bolt for a dana 30 and 2pc AMC 20, toss my really comfy seats for the crap cj's came with, get one of "wonderfull" OEM soft tops, springs, rims, tires, .. at least i get to keep the transfer case....
Perhaps I'll just title the jeep as a tractor.....

Re: STOP with the Jeep mods!!!

Blahahahahahahahahah ha ha ha

That is like thinking there is some almighty "Jeep Almighty Force" who made all Jeeps in the perfect likeness of it and that we should not mess with Jeep Nature.

Thats a good one

Re: STOP with the Jeep mods!!!

Ok Dave, I got right on it, and I removed all of the parts not in compliance, with your new mandate,....but I have a serious transportation problem now, as all I have left are portions of my frame, some dented body panels and a dash,... Oh yeah, and the square light front grill, which I would never swap, as Jeep had finaly got it right at that point.
