Need good \"FREE\" server for club site

Well I am the web master for our clubs website and i am totally sick of geocities. The little windows they put over the site cause script problems and generally suck. Is there and good free hosting companies that can be recommended so i can switch ? I know i am not going to get away from Ad banners. I am just looking for hosts that have less intrusive banners, or actually put the banners at the top or bottom of page. I am glad geocities offers free space, but the errors i am recieving is bugging me.
Thanks

Off-road.com has a hosting section as well. White Sands Jeep Club has theirs hosted there.
