Tub removal cont........

Okay... tub off my '7....

Out of 9 mounts I have had ONE, yes 1, bolt remove properly. The rest are "spinners". But I don't really care, the tub is shot and I'll be getting another one anyway.

Have Sawzall will travel!

My question: The 2 mounts in the rear, above the gas tank. Is there an easier way to get to these s.o.b's, WITHOUT dropping the tank or is that the only choice?

Experience needed. (again)

Re: Tub removal cont........

All the bolts on my CJ7 had to be ground off. I used a 4 1/2" grinder on the heads, then tapped them thru with a punch and hammer. The rear ones by the tank on mine were actually to the side of it, not directly above it. So I ground the head off from inside, then drove it thru.
