for-sale SM465/NP203 (rare)
 

hey i was wondering a junkyard this weekend and found a 74 chevy K30 with a 465/203 in it, they are asking $350 and no core change. i have one adaptor and just can't get another for that price. (even though it's fair)

Does the 203's in that combo have a fine spline or the 10 spl. that all other 465's seem to have? I'd really like to get that sucker, but dont want spend the cash getting it here..I'm sure that would cost as much as what he wants for it.Just curiouse, what would it cost to get it to 76234 tx. ?

It's as close to a 1ton as it can get and still be a jeep!!! Gotta love it!!

Would this fit a YJ ? Is this a driver or pass. side drop? What is first gear on the NP465 ?

the 465 has a 6.55 first gear and I believe the 203 is a passenger drop, (I know the 205 is)

LEADER, i believe it's the 10-spline that uses a double female coupler, my zip is 17345, i'll check out shipping if i can remember. (and of course my sweat to get it on a pallet [img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

kutyafal, chevy 203's are passanger side drop. if using it as a double, you can get a np205 drivers or passanger side drop. fyi, dodge had a NP435/np203 combe with a driverside drop.

CJDave, i hear ya, got to like the Low-Lock, Low, nuetral, High, High-Lock Transfercase options. i think maybe for snow the factory TH400/NP203 would be a pretty good platform. but i still like that 465/205 you got in your 4x4 Bus. [img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Speaking of 203's I've got a married 203 out of a 76 ramcharger out behind the barn. I think the truck had a 727TF tranny. Is mine worth anything?

If it's a 10 spline like the 205, then all I really need is the t-case!! Can you get just that? I'm wanting to make a doubler, but I dont really want to spend what the coversion guys are getting for their stuff..If it's a 10 spl. I can make my own adapter and such I believe..For that matter, all I need from it is the reduction box..Not the whole case...

It's as close to a 1ton as it can get and still be a jeep!!! Gotta love it!!
