My '97 2.5 TJ is getting due for some more power. I would really like to do a 5.9 out of the TSI grand, or out of a Dodge pickup (with the NV4500). It looks like I can use the pcm out of the pickup, and everything will plug in (it cant be that easy). Anybody seen any V8 swaps in a TJ (keeping the fuel injection.) I found one shop that did a 4.7 in a 2001 TJ, but hardly any info other than a few small pics. I do realize the entire driveline will need to be upgraded...

Oh yeah, whats the going rate for a NV4500??

there is a guy....i cant remember his website....that took a 97 or 98 4 cylinder TJ and swapped in a Dodge truck 360. I know he used the PCM and all from the truck, but i dont remember what trans he used. In any case, he did the job RIGHT, and it lookked great. Just remember, if yo're going to be putting all that power in a TJ, you'd better be thinking about new axles. a 35C is not going to last long behind 245hp, and 340lb.ft. of torque with anything larger than stock tires!
