What speed does my older jeep go??

Well i finally got my speedo to work. I have a 63 CJ5 with 4.22 or 4.27 gears, i forgot, a t-90 tranny. I dont know what original size the 700x16 tires were. I am riding 33's now. My question is what is my speed actually? I know i wasnt going 30 like the speedo says. Is there any speedo gears to put in the older jeeps to correct the speed?

thanks

I have no idea about getting the gear for a '63. A nice and easy way to check your speedo, tho, is to buy or borrow a GPS unit that shows velocity.

Or you could drive past a cop as fast as you can in a school zone...he'd be happy to tell you how fast you were going....right before he kicks your a$$ and takes you to jail....

Speedometer shops can build an adapter that fits between your xfer case and the speedo cable to accurately calibrate the speedometer. About $40-50, as I recall.
