stock ride height

What is the ride height for a stock YJ? I mean a NEW one, with no spring sag.

Re: stock ride height

I am not sure about a new Tj, but on my Yj there is about 18.5' between the ground and the bottom of the bumper.

Re: stock ride height

When you said new I thought ya meant 99' new, b/c the newest Yj would be at least 3 yrs old. Any how I have a 91' Yj Stockie and I don't have that much sag at all.

Re: stock ride height

I thought that 95 was the last year YJs were made. Like from 87-95, and the 97-02 Jeeps were TJs. Also, I have aftermarket bumpers. So would that affect my measurement too much compared to yours, or would it be accurate enough? I have Genuine Steel tubular bumpers.

Re: stock ride height

Yeah, your right. I got mixed up. What kind of tires are you trying to fit on your YJ?

Re: stock ride height

I'm about to get a total of 6-7" inches of lift (body, suspension, and shackle) and I'm thinking of maybe getting some 33s or 35s, and either 12.50s or 14.50s. Most likely will end up with 33x12.50s though.

Re: stock ride height

Just curious. In a couple of weews I'm puttin a 4' procomp springs. I am going to run 33s. I can't do to much since it is a daily driver, but at the same time I gotta have some fun on the bigger trails.
