What do you guys think bout this TJ
http://truckworld.com/trail-trucks/0...r-jeep-tj.html
Personally I think this dude's got too much money, thats a 2000 that he did that to. Looks too much like a dune buggy, and that open air filter kills me '01TJeff "Roads? Where we're going; we don't need...roads" |

Re: What do you guys think bout this TJ
Lot's of dough into that one, but he's trying to promote his shop, so that's understandable. He should re-think that open filter though.. A snorkel wouldn't be that hard to add... Bret

Re: What do you guys think bout this TJ
All depends on what he wants to do with it... A lot of what he has done looks like it could be the makings of an ARCA rig. Though I don't like the sheetmetal work on the hood.

Re: What do you guys think bout this TJ
Looks pretty capable to me.
I would think all of the mods can be justified since he owns his own shop, and no doubt needs to advertise. The open air filters work fine, I have mine set up the same way. It is up high enough that if he starts drawing water in it, he or most anyone else would already be in bigger trouble than worrying about sucking water. I personaly use skirts around my engine compartment to keep water from splashing up, but still, that open air set up is pretty common among the rigs I usually run with. Considering his geographical location, I would venture to say that a removable snorkel set up will be forthecomming. Cosmeticaly, well I dont necessarily like the look, but who really cares, he has great tire clearance, and cosmetics is in the eye of the beholder. Many folks may not like the looks of my modifications, but fabrication necessities have lead to the look. Form does follow function. I like the coil over set up, its a much better set up, than individual coils and springs. He has strong axles, a superb T case, very capable engine and drive train, a seriouse cage, high clearance bumpers, and good rubber. Hmmmmm whats not to like? Re: What do you guys think bout this TJ
There's only one thing I gotta disagree with you on there, Jeff. All *REAL* Jeepers like your rig. What's not to love (except for those square lights)? Decorative, yet functional, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Re: What do you guys think bout this TJ
I see nothing wrong with it! It does seem too pretty to trash out on the rocks however. Looks like a nice job of putting it together.

Re: What do you guys think bout this TJ
I personally like it. I wish I could devote my time to doing that. If I had my own shop I would probably do the same kind of things. However, I would not use a brand new TJ. I would use the nicest YJ I could find, I just have a place in my heart for those headlights.

Re: What do you guys think bout this TJ
Not exactly how I would have done it but it looks pretty kick a$$ to me. I wouldn't want to see every rig built the same anyway.

H8, if anyone doesn't like your rig just send them too me.
My Jeep gets jealous every time I look for pics of your Jeep. You should upload all the pics of it you have to one of those online photo albums then we wont have to wait for you to post to start drooling over it. http://donkeyface.virtualave.net/sig.jpg |
