Dixie Run

Anyone have info on this run? Date, location? Don't know that I have any chance of making it, but I'd sure like too...

Re: Dixie Run

Thanks. Checked it out and don't think I can make those dates. Jeep is still in PA, should be here in FL sometime 1st week of Oct, plus cutoff for registration was 9/15...

Re: Dixie Run

You can still register it just cost $10 more. It's a fun event and the raffle is worth going for (even though I never win jack).

Re: Dixie Run

Thanks GreenMachine. I still don't think I'll be able to make it this year (rig hasn't been shaken down after major mods and family member birthday on Oct 5th)... But given that Sycho15 and I now live in the same town... I'll have to make sure WE are both ready next year and we can caravan up there...

Re: Dixie Run

You don't have to register to have a good time there. Last year I went as a passenger in whoever's vehicle I could ride in. I'm going this year and will hit a few of the trails that my "little" TJ can handle. I'm not registering for the sponsored trail rides but I will follow jeepgod and elusive on some of the easy spots. Don't worry Chris and Pat, I have my tow strap.

<font color=red>I may not like what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.<font color=black>

Re: Dixie Run

You don't have to register but I wouldn't encourage not registering. They do provide you with a meal and a place to camp. They will drag you out of the woods if you break your rig and they have a great raffle as well as experienced trail bosses. The money also goes to pay for lawyers for Southern to fight the tree huggers and keep our trails open. They have 4 quarterly rides every year that they don't charge a dime for and are as well organized as any Rosser Roundup or Safari. I am not saying that I think that everyone should pay or not go I am just saying that the money is for a good cause and a good organization. It's not going to line someones pocket and no one will shot you if you don't want to pay.
