Floor Mats?

I was looking in a rice book.
(well I wasn't looking in it, my friend was, he has an obsession with riced out cars.)
So anyways, this one caught my attention with the rivits on the outside of the windows. I was trying to figure out functionality, when I relised the floor pan was coverd with diamond plate panals. Is this an idea to save your tub?

have diamon plate "floor mats" bolted or riveted to the floor.

Or maybe not? Would my Jeep look like it was fueled by Rice?

Re: Floor Mats?

Pre cut dimond plate replacement floor panels have been out in the marketplace for about nine months (or so...). Yes, it's an idea to save the tub... and not a bad idea at that... unless you go for Aluminum, then you have the dis-similar metals problem.

Re: Floor Mats?

Interesting.
But then there's always the other option.
When your feet fit through the hold, cut it out, weld a new bit in, and paint it over.
4th or 5th time, get a new tub.
